We are always better off at understanding other people's shoes in order to see things in their perspective and understand them. If I was in Skeeter's position I would not have the courage to start the column by writing about the helps' lives. Also, in those days women mostly got married while they were are college and drop out of school. But, Skeeter was not the ordinary type. She was focused more in her life and was willing to make changes in her society. If I was Skeeter I would have sticked to being realistic and live the life that every other people were living. It was more of admiring her courage rather than understanding her actions.
