My favorite character in the Help would have to be Minny. Minny works secretly for Mrs. Cecilia as her maid. Minny is not afraid to speak her mind in situations that to most people would consider uncomfortable She is a caring mother, and works very hard to provide the most possible for her children. She carries the burden of having an abusive husband, though she hardly ever shows much fear of him. I find Minny to be the comic relief of the story. Her character adds a certain tone that lightens the book, making the reader laugh throughout the story. Her character shows that everyone, no matter their skin color, should be treated equally fair.
