In The Help, my favorite character would have to be Aibileen. I really enjoy
reading the book in her perspective, as if i was from Tennessee. Not only is she
a wonderful maid for Mrs. Leefolt, she is also a great friend to colored and
white people. Aibileen's best quality, however, is her motherly instincts. I
LOVE how she takes care of Mae Mobley, Mrs. Leefolts daughter, like one of her
own. She reassures Mae Mobley that she is an important girl even though her
mother treats her like she is always doing wrong. Aibileen is a headstrong woman
who has a strong opinion but can express it in a kind way. She always listens to
what she is told and never talks back. She also helps Ms. Skeeter even though
she is putting her life in jeopardy, which means she is a very selfless person.
